Deep drawing in Sweden

From June 19th to 22nd, 2023 the 42. International Deep Drawing Research Group (IDDRG) conference held in Luleå, Sweden. In around 100 specialist lectures in the areas of fossil-free steel production, intelligent press shops, multi-material concepts, the expansion of lightweight structures and the future characterization and forming of sheet metal materials, solutions for tomorrow's challenges were presented and discussed. With the two contributions "Carburization behavior at elevated temperatures and mechanical properties of a hot stamped complex phase steel" by Jan Henning Risse (left image) and "Development of a novel in-situ measurement method for thermo-mechanically coupled material characterization of high- strength aluminum alloys” by Nikolaos Rigas (picture on the right), the LFT also presented the latest research results.
