Tooling technology

In the lecture the process chain for the production of seet metal parts is presented. From the first feasibility analysis of the workpieces through forming simulation and prototyping finally series production is reached. The focus is on tooling technology - a tool production adapted to the batch size (see figure), followed by the building of the robust series tool. Live and very close all this can be seen at the PT- und Serienwerkzeubau at the Mercedes Car Group in Sindelfingen.
