The third-party funding for the follow-up application for the research project "FE-based springback prediction of sheet metal forming processes made of lightweight materials taking into account anisotropic hardening" was approved by the German Research Foundation (DFG). Within the scope of this project, the numerical design of deep-drawing processes with high-strength aluminum alloys at elevated temperatures as a function of the forming rate is to be improved. By using a phenomenological material model to take into account the distortion hardening as a function of the forming temperature and speed, the springback behavior in particular should be predicted more precisely. In addition, the compression test with miniaturized samples from the sheet plane is used for the first time to model the asymmetric tensile-compression material behavior of 7000 series aluminum alloys.
