German Six Sigma award for business excellence in silver
The master thesis written by Mr Lukas Emilius M. Sc. at the Chair of Resource and Energy Efficient Production Machines was awarded as part of this year's specialist conference of the European Six Sigma CLub – Germany e.V. (ESSC-D) with the second place.
The work is entitled "Investigation of the optimization potential of the tool change strategy in mechanical engineering using a stochastic modeling approach". The topic is very well suited to put the theoretical knowledge acquired in the lecture "Methodische Analyse zur Qualitätsverbesserung von Fertigungsprozessen” into practice. Thus, Mr. Emilius made excellent use of the opportunity to acquire the Greenbelt certificate by combining lecture and student work. The award of his work with the silver prize recognizes the intensive examination of the tools and possibilities in a practical environment as well as the very good summary presentation in the context of the application for the prize after completing the master thesis. Congratulations!
