On July 4th, 2023, the final colloquium of the DFG research group FOR2271 "Process-oriented tolerance management with virtual validation methods" took place. The event reported on the research work within the two funding phases and the insights gained. Andreas Rohrmoser presented the results of sub-project 4 "Consideration of functionally relevant design deviations in the design of forming processes for the production of spur gears with special gearing by extrusion". The Chair of Design Technology (KTmfk), the Chair of Technical Mechanics (LTM), the Chair of Production Metrology (FMT) and the Chair of Plastics Technology (LKT) were also involved. In addition, representatives of industry showed current potential and challenges of process-oriented tolerance management in the industrial environment.

We would like to thank all guests for helping to organize the colloquium and for the great interest in the results of the research group!

The results of the research group were published in a final report, which can be found under the following link: https://doi.org/10.25593/978-3-96147-660-2.
