After three years under pandemic conditions, the hot sheet metal forming workshop returned to its original size and event format on November 14, 2023. At the 18th edition of the one-day workshop, 86 participants took the opportunity to discuss current topics in hot forming. The discussion was based on 14 high-quality lectures in four sessions from industry and science. These included, among other things, innovations in the area of semi-finished materials, tools and processes as well as the optimization of quality assurance and the heating and joining strategy. This means that a wide range of topics relating to hot sheet metal forming was covered. With coffee and cake, the breaks were used for the exhibitor presentation and for the intensive exchange of knowledge. The exciting choice of topics and the quality of the contributions and discussions meant that almost all of the enthusiastic participants made full use of the time until the end of the event, despite the subsequent return journey. The general feedback on organization, food and choice of topic was very positive.
